A 16 year old girl saw a Facebook post that made her pause.
A Dad in Florida was trying to buy diapers and wipes for his children. Two of his credit cards were declined at checkout. He made a decision to leave the store with the items in his cart.
I’m sure he wasn’t proud of this decision. It was a desperate measure to provide for his children. The police department wanted to make an example of him through this post.
This 16 year old girl bravely decided to stand up for this Dad in Facebook’s comments section. She even offered to pay for the items if the police would just leave him alone.
Her comment attracted others, which attracted more media attention, and I thankfully came to learn about this story.
