Shout out to junior ambassador Chris for collecting over 1,000 diapers during the holiday season! Chris met with Heather Edwards, the Executive Director of the Allied Foundation, to hand off the donations and discuss how Diapers for a Difference can have a greater impact on Long Island. Heather mentioned that local abuse shelters will receive the diapers from this recent drive, raising the question, “Do people realize how many supplies abuse shelters need to operate?” The answer is a significant amount—a parent seeking shelter with an infant can use up to 50 diapers in just one week.
